Dentons China’s Luxury and Fashion Team Launches China Luxury and Fashion Industry Guide

After decades of development, the luxury and fashion industry in China is flourishing, dynamic and diverse, and begins to target young consumers. While expansion of foreign brands into the Chinese market has encouraged growth of domestic brands, Chinese investors have also attracted wide-spread attention as they increased their international profile in cross-border mergers and acquisitions of luxury companies.

Dentons has long been at the forefront of the luxury and fashion industry, combining a wealth of expertise from some of the most experienced professionals specializing in this field. We have served a number of reputed domestic and foreign brands and investors, and have cross-region and cross-practice capabilities, able to deliver efficient and specialized service on all types of legal issues in this sector.

The Guide was developed jointly by the China Region and our colleagues in France. To mark the launch, the Shanghai office held a seminar on the luxury and fashion industry on September 13, with attendance of more than 60 GCs from luxury companies.

This Guide contains a variety of information and is designed to give an overview on some of the practical issues and legal precedents in the industry, with topics ranging from business operation, market access, and compliance, to IP, tax, labor, merger and investment.

If you would like a copy of the Guide, please send you name, company name, title and phone number to kaiwen.du@dentons.cn.
