Recently, a debt investment project was launched by Taikang Assets Management Co., Ltd. (“Taikang Assets”) to finance sections of national highway that passes through Hunan Province under the management of Hunan Highway Construction Investment Co., Ltd. This is the first time insurance funds have been tapped to support infrastructure construction in Hunan. The project, which involved a total of RMB3bn worth of investment, has been filed with China Insurance Regulatory Commission (“CIRC”).
 
Entrusted by Taikang Assets, a Dacheng team led by senior partners Li Yunli and Zhang Lei provided all-round legal service for the project. Li Yunli and her team have been tasked with counsel for a number of insurance funds-backed debt investment projects with an accumulated worth of over RMB10 bn.
