Phoenix TV Had An Interview with Lawyer Palmer Wang

On June 24, 2009, a reporter from Phoenix had a TV interview with Lawyer Wang (Wang Guangming), the senior partner of Dacheng Law offices, regarding the anti-monopoly issue involves in the MA (Merger and Acquisition) between Shanghai Airlines and China Eastern Airlines (CE Airlines).
During the interview, Palmer Wang talked after the MA, CE Airlines would take 50% of the market shares, which is required to be under the examined of Ministry of Commerce of PRC Anti-monopoly Bureau.  Because the high market share may often go with the problems like competition restrict, price raise, unsatisfied service, the anti-monopoly review becomes the key to control these issues to some extent.
As well, Palmer Wang said the legal image and legal
environment is important base of the setup of international financial center and shipping center in Shanghai, so the anti-monopoly examination in the MA of Shanghai Airlines and CE Airlines to be as the first anti-monopoly case involving State-owned enterprise, will bring more to the society.
