Shenzhen Sunway Communication Co. Advised by Dacheng Gains CSRC Approval for Acquisition and Major Asset Restructuring

On June 29 2012, an approval letter was issued by CSRC to grant permission to Shenzhen Sunway Communication Co., Ltd. (“Sunway Communication”) on its acquiring of the UK-owned Laird Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and subsequent major assets restructuring.
 
A team of Dacheng acted as legal counsel for Sunway Communication on the major assets restructuring. The team was composed of senior partners Shu Ziping, Xu Huijie, partner Re Rongbing and a few others.
 
Sunway Communication is a provider of integrated solutions for mobile terminal antennas. Launched on the ChiNext in October 2010, it is the first listed company in China’s mobile terminal antennas industry. In an effort to bolster its competitiveness and further expand production scale, Sunway Communiations acquired Laird Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Laird Technologies, a world-famous provider of high-performance electronic products and systems based in the UK. The acquisition, which led to a major assets restructuring of Sunway Communication, not only improved its capacity in R&D, manufacturing and marketing, but also turned it into a qualified supplier for the world’s leading handset makers such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony and LG.
 
The project team which advised Sunway Communication on the structuring had previously provided service for the company on its listing. Their efforts were highly recognized and commended both times by the client.
