Legal Risk Control Program of Yellow River Hydropower Co. Advised by Xi’an-based Attorneys Pass Expert Review

On July 30, 2012, a panel of soft science experts gathered at a meeting held by Yellow River Upstream Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yellow River Hydropower Co.”) to examine the company’s soft science-related work in the past year. A legal risk control program led by Xining-based attorney Qi Yan passed the experts’ examination.
 
At the meeting, attorney Qi Yan reported to the panel of experts as the handling attorney for the company’s legal risk control program.
 
Yellow River Hydropower Co. is a large-scale comprehensive energy enterprise with nine large- to medium-sized operating hydropower stations under control. These power stations, which are located at Longyangxia Valley, Laxiwa, Lijiaxia Valley, Gongboxia Valley, Suzhi, Jishixia Valley, Yanguoxia Valley, Bapanxia Valley and Qingtongxia Valley respectively, are capable of producing 35bn kilowatt-hours of power annually. It has also launched projects that are able to produce 1250 tons of polycrystalline silicon, 555,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum and 300,000 tons of carbon at an annual basis in Xining, Qinghai. Currently, it is building factories of photovoltaic cells and solar modules in Xi’an and Xining, as well as grid-connected photovoltaic power stations and wind power stations in Jingtai of Gansu Province, Sangri of Tibet, Wulan, Golmud, Gonghe of Qinghai province and Henan province.
