Dacheng Represents PWC Korea in Setting up Xi’an Branch of Samsung SDS Global SCL Beijing Co.

In May 2013, Dacheng Xi’an office represented PWC Korea in connection with setting up a Xi’an branch of Samsung SDS Global SCL Beijing Co.,Ltd, a subsidiary of Samsung Group, South Korea. To date, the branch has been incorporated pursuant to relevant laws and regulations. All licenses and documents will be completed at the end of June.
 
The Dacheng team, bringing into full play its integrative global network, offered full legal service for the client. They sorted out procedures for setting up a logistics subsidiary of a foreign company, drafted and reviewed all legal documents, contacted local government agencies to whom application materials were submitted and helped the branch get all necessary certificates and licenses for conducting logistics business.
 
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung SDS, Samsung SDS Global SCL Beijing Co., Ltd. is in charge of Samsung Group’s global logistics. Founded in August 2011 and headquartered in Beijing, it has set up branches in Weihai, Tianjin, Suzhou, Huizhou and Hong Kong. The company and its branches provide a diverse array of services, such as freight forwarding by water, air and land, warehouse services and ticketing. By applying the supply chain management system “Cello”, which was developed independently by Samsung SDS, Samsung SDS Global SCL aims to build a globalized, standardized logistics operation platform and a world’s leading, high-efficiency logistics system. The Xi’an branch will serve as a supporting facility for the high-end memory chips project of Samsung (Beijing) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. to be launched in the city. It is also part of Samsung’s strategic plan of building a world-wide supporting network of logistics facilities. PWC Korea administers the project in coordination with local government agencies in China, Egypt and Philippines. Dacheng, due to its remarkable performance and good reputation in China, was selected as legal advisor for the set-up of the Xi’an branch.
 
The project leader of PWC Korea, when visiting Dacheng Xi’an Office and the Beijing headquarters, not only marveled at Dacheng’s brand influence and scale, but also highly commended its attorneys’ work enthusiasm, efficiency and productivity. Dacheng’s performance also gained recognition from people at Samsung SDS Global SCL Beijing Corporation’s headquarters and its Xi’an branch.
