Mr. Cai (Jason, Changsheng) is a licensed PRC lawyer with over 10 years of working experience in domestic and international law firms.
His main practice areas include: corporate, fund formation, PE/VC, mergers and acquisitions, PRC and Hong Kong IPO, cross-border transactions, and debt restructuring.
He has provided legal services to numerous Fortune 500 companies, unicorn and high tech enterprises, listed companies, as well as investment funds in the high-tech, life science, TMT, and real estate industries.
He has extensive experience in leading high profile and complex projects, with representative clients including: Gree Group, Country Garden, Evergrande, Pearl River Co., Ltd., SF Holding, Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals, Tubatu Technology Group, Alibaba, Ant Group, Haitong Securities International, Blackstone, Pax Global Technology, etc. (including clients served before joining Da Cheng).
He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese and English. With solid legal expertise and keen business acumen, Mr. Cai has won wide recognition from both Chinese and foreign clients.
Mr. Cai joined Da Cheng Law Offices as a partner in 2025. Prior to this, he worked at O'Melveny & Myers LLP Shanghai Representative Office, Fangda Partners (Shanghai), and King & Wood Mallesons (Guangzhou Office). He once completed a two-month internship at the leading law firm Holding Redlich in Sydney, Australia.
Mr. Cai graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Since 2025, he has been pursuing MBA degree taught entirely in English at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Several articles co-authored by Mr. Cai have been published in China Foreign Exchange, a magazine supervised by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, including: (a) Key Points and Responses to Compliance Review for Overseas Listings, (b) Insights into Chinese Red-chip Stocks' Return to A-share Market, and (c) Interpretation of the New Regulatory Rules for the "Shanghai-London Stock Connect".
He has also participated in compiling legal professional articles or guidebooks, such as (a) Key Points of Fair Competition Review Regulations in China, and (b) Handbook for Preventing Criminal Risks in the Real Estate Industry.
