On May 28, 2013, the 2nd China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) (“Beijing Fair” for short), co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Beijing municipal government, launched its special campaign on legal services—China Cooperative Meeting on Legal Services for International Commerce was announced to open at National Convention Center, Beijing. The meeting was jointly held by All China Lawyers Association and China Association of Trade in Services. Zhao Dacheng, Deputy Minister of Justice, and Zhang Yankun, Vice Mayor of Beijing, delivered remarks at the opening ceremony and nearly 300 business people and lawyers from home and abroad attended the meeting.
 
Attorney Xu Yongqian, vice director of the management committee of Dacheng and senior partner, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Chinese Standard and the Rule-of-law Mindset in Legal Services for Commerce” on behalf of Dacheng at the forum of this meeting. In his speech, Mr Xu introduced the successful innovative attempts of Dacheng in legal practice over the years, particularly in areas related to global legal services, against the background of Dacheng’s in-depth involvement in drafting “Guidelines on Enterprise Legal Risk Management”—the national standard. His sharing of experience on how to help Chinese enterprises go out and how to build an integrated legal services network on a global basis was critically acclaimed. He also offered advice on issues related to the management and development of Chinese enterprises in overseas markets and brand promotion: legal consultants within enterprises and attorneys without should work together to push companies, especially the top 500 companies to establish an integrated global legal services network. Besides, they should, by combining 5000 years’ Chinese civilization and 500 years’ history of enterprise, plant the seed of the rule of law and good governance in enterprises and tap the full potential of legal professionals while an enterprise is on its way to become larger, stronger and better.
 
Besides, Attorney Deng Yongquan, senior partner of Dacheg, made a keynote speech entitled "How Should Overseas Attorneys Deal with Chinese Clients and How Should Overseas Enterprises Control Legal Risks in China” at a promotional meeting of Sino-US legal services cooperation on international commerce. Attorney Ma Wei, senior partner of Dacheng, also delivered a keynote speech at a promotional meeting of legal services cooperation for international commerce between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, between China and South Korea and between China and ASEAN. The title of his speech was “Build Broad Channels for International Legal Services and Promote Sino-ASEAN Mutual Benefits".
 
Beijing Fair is officially approved by the State Council and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China and Beijing municipal government. It starts every year on May 28th and ends on June 1st. The first Beijing Fair was held in 2012. Beijing Fair aims at becoming an important channel for China’s service industry to “bring in” and “go out”, a platform for issuing authoritative policies and information on service and trade and a bridge for communication and cooperation among service and trade businesses of all countries. It’s also going to shape itself into an international gala with sustained vigor and world-wide influence.
