On the morning of July 1 2013, a group of seven guests, headed by Dr. Gene D. Block, Chancellor of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), visited Dacheng headquarters in Beijing. Chairman Peng Xuefeng and Management Committee member Yu Xugang received the guests.
Chairman Peng had hatched a plan of building strategic partnership with UCLA Law School while he was on a UCLA visiting scholar program in 2012. The partnership is intended to boost exchanges between Chinese and American legal talents and strengthen mutual understanding in legal practice of either country. During this visit, the two sides held in-depth discussions on furthering the partnership plan.
UCLA is the best public university in the U.S. with the largest number of applicants and a world-wide academic prestige. It also boasts one of the world’s top law schools. A partnership with UCLA School of Law will create more valuable educational and academic exchange opportunities for China’s legal talents. It will also help deepen Sino-US legal, economic and cultural communication.
