Dacheng Attorney Retained as Legal Advisor of Organizing Committee of KIP Pavilion Expo Milano 2015

On December 4, Beijing-based senior partner Wang Wei was retained as legal advisor of the organizing committee of KIP Pavilion Expo Milano 2015. Wang will continuingly promote United Nations Millennium Development Goals in Italy via advising on the preparation, organization and business extension of KIP Pavilion as well as KIP International School.

Previously, Wang was invited to the land transfer and ground-breaking ceremony for the KIP Pavilion in Milan and the Expo Milano 2015’s Global Roadshow (press conference) held in Italian Embassy in Beijing.

The KIP International School promotes knowledge, innovations and policies. It is guided by UN Scientific Committee and established following the conclusion of a KIP International School framework agreement signed jointly by UNESCO, UNDP, UNIFEM and UNOPS. The School aims to promote territorial resources and practices on the United Nations Millennium Platform, including natural, humanitarian and historical resources and all sorts of social relations and practices in the possession of local governments and non-government organizations.

In 2014, KIP International School was invited by International Exhibitions Bureau to take charge of the preparation of KIP Pavilion Expo Milano 2015. KIP Pavilion is the only pavilion set up independently for an international organization inside the park of Expo Milano 2015, which is an important platform for exhibiting achievements made since the United Nations Millennium Development Goals were first launched 15 years ago.

World exposition is characterized by its time span, size, number of participants and influence. It is honored the Olympic gala of world economy, science and technology and culture and one of the three most prominent international fairs, the others being the Olympic Games and the World Football Game.

Expo Milano 2015, the latest registered exposition approved by International Exhibitions Bureau, will be held on May 1 to October 31, 2015, lasting 184 days with 20mln prospective visitors. The theme of the expo is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”.

Currently, Italy is China’s fifth biggest trade partner in EU and China is Italy’s biggest trade partner in Asia. The year 2015 also marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Italy diplomatic relations. The Chinese government attaches great importance to our participation in Expo Milano 2015 and central government and party leaders have expressed their willingness to support and take part in the expo at various occasions.

As the world’s second largest economy, China will take this opportunity to introduce our development concept and to enhance exchange and cooperation with other countries. The theme of the expo, focusing on the sustainable development of the planet, is also a common concern and a matter of great importance for the international community.
