Jun Zhang is one of the co-leaders of the Dentons Trusts, Estates, and Wealth Preservation Practice Group (China region) and serves as a member of Managing Committee of the China region. Mr. Zhang is committed to research on theoretical and practical issues in family (enterprise) governance and wealth management. At the same time, he has conducted in-depth research on and is rich in practical experience in onshore and offshore family trust planning, integral family spirit promotion, and the setting and operating of family office, etc.
Mr. Zhang began his legal practice in 2000. Before this, he served in political and legal institutions for many years. In 2003, Mr. Zhang became a Founding Partner of Guangdong Qixin Tongzheng Law Firm. This merged with another firm in 2006 to establish Guangdong Andao Yonghua Law Firm, where Mr. Zhang served as an Executive Partner and Senior Partner. In 2012, this firm merged again to establish ETR Law Firm, where he served as the Chairman of the Executive Committee and a Senior Partner. In 2016, Mr. Zhang joined Dentons, where he serves as a Senior Partner, and oen of the co-leaders of Dentons Trusts, Estates, and Wealth Preservation Practice Group (China region). Since beginning his practice, Mr. Zhang has represented clients in cross-border M&A/investment projects in North America, South America, and Australia. Domestically, Mr. Zhang has provided permanent and specialized legal services for a number of large family enterprises and state-owned enterprises. His clients cover the industries of real estate, mining, manufacturing, and finance, etc.
