On November 18, CIPC Life Insurance, a subsidiary of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIPC), and Orpea Group held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at the Shanghai Center. The two parties announced that they will jointly build the Pacific Orpea Operation and Management Joint Venture through their respective subsidiaries, and use this JV as a platform to carry out all-round and multi-level cooperation in the field of aged care services, so as to comprehensively enhance the aged care service quality of CIPC's high-end communities "CIPC Home" which are to be built in the future.

Established in 1989, Orpea is a Paris-based world-renowned aged care and rehabilitation group. It was listed on the Euronext Paris in 2002.

The JV will be controlled by Pacific Insurance Aging Industry Investment Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CIPI Life Insurance, seeking to make full use of the advantages of CIPC's local investment in the aging industry and Orpea's rich professional experience and technical expertise in the field of elderly health and personal care. It is committed to create a first-class comprehensive operation and management platform of aging industry in China, incorporating Chinese and western characteristics, and provide aged care services of international standards to Chinese families, thus becoming an excellent brand in aged care services.
