Dentons lawyer selected by Insurance Asset Management Association of China as a member of its first equity investment plan and insurance private investment fund evaluation panel

On January 1, 2019, with an aim of establishing an expert panel for evaluation of equity products, the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC) issued the "Notice on Publicly Selecting Equity Investment Plan and Insurance Private Investment Fund Evaluation Experts". The scope of the selection includes renowned private equity investment institutions, securities companies and their subsidiaries, law firms, accounting firms, universities, research institutes, government departments, market administration agencies and social groups.

Recently, after extensive assessment and announcement by the selection committee, IAMAC selected 71 experts in related fields from 388 partners, senior officers, high-ranking officials and deputy general managers. In the legal profession, only 10 lawyers nationwide were appointed. Dentons China Senior Partner Li Shoushuang was honorably selected.

According to the statistics of IAMAC, as of the end of March 2019, the insurance funds have initiated and set up a total of 1093 debt and equity investment plans, with a total filing (registration) scale of about 2.6 trillion yuan; registered a total of 20 private investment funds, with an aggregate scale of 161.31 billion yuan. The panelists will be responsible for evaluating and reviewing the equity investment plans and the registration of the insurance private investment funds, and independently issuing their professional opinions to decide whether to accept the registration.
