Summit F. Chen is the managing partner and senior partner of Dentons Shanghai Office. Summit also serves as the Director of Dentons China Region. Summit has extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in law and economics, with specialties in Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, Construction Engineering and Infrastructure, Banking, Finance, and Manufacturing (Automotive/Aviation). Besides, he possesses substantive experience dealing with difficult significant litigation cases.

Experience

As a seasoned lawyer, Summit has long focused on offering legal services for major business organizations and institutions. Summit has extensive experience in M&A, restructuring, deal structuring, cross-border investment and M&A, equity transfer, risk prevention and control in corporate operation and investment, construction and operation of major infrastructure projects, operation of financing companies, finance, capital markets, and major commercial dispute resolution. Summit has acted as long-term legal advisor to many corporate clients based on retainer arrangements and advised them on quite a number of major M&A and restructuring transactions. In recent years, Summit has also made active contributions to the “Belt and Road” initiative by delivering a wide range of legal services for many “Belt and Road” projects.
