On June 14 2013, Chairman Peng Xuefeng of Dacheng, who is also member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Central Committee, attended a symposium on judicial justice upon invitation. The symposium was jointly held by the Subcommittee of Social and Legal Affairs of the CPPCC Central Committee and China Law Society.
At the symposium, Mr. Peng voiced his opinion on realizing independent judicature and safeguarding judicial justice from multiple perspectives, namely, the necessity of defining the boundary between judicature and politics, of eliminating interference from local authorities and the administrative power upon judicature and the regulating of the exercise of judicial power. His view was highly valued and commended by the participating leaders at the symposium.
